Daniel Radcliffe Spotted on Father’s Day Outing with Partner Erin Darke and Their Newborn

Daniel Radcliffe, best known for playing the iconic boy wizard in Harry Potter, was recently seen enjoying a heartwarming Father’s Day stroll through New York’s West Village — cradling his newborn baby in a carrier.

The 33-year-old actor and his longtime partner, Erin Darke, 38, welcomed their first child in April, but have remained very private about the new addition. While they’ve yet to reveal the baby’s name or gender, the child was dressed in blue socks and a soft green bucket hat during the sunny outing.
This rare public appearance offered fans a glimpse into Radcliffe’s life as a new dad — something he’s managed to keep under wraps until paparazzi first captured Erin’s baby bump back in March, just weeks before she gave birth.
Radcliffe and Darke have been together since 2012, after meeting on the set of the film Kill Your Darlings. Their onscreen chemistry quickly became real-life romance, and they’ve maintained a low profile over the years, making only a few public red carpet appearances — most recently at The Lost City premiere in 2022.

Reflecting on their early days in an interview with People TV, Radcliffe once said, “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other.” He also joked in a past interview with Playboy that there “was no acting going on” in their first scene together, praising Darke’s wit and charm.
Now, over a decade later, the couple’s life has taken a new and exciting turn as they embrace parenthood.

Radcliffe joins fellow Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint in the dad club. Grint and his partner, actress Georgia Groome, welcomed their daughter, Wednesday, in 2020. Like Radcliffe and Darke, they’ve kept their private life mostly out of the spotlight.
Emma Watson, another member of the original trio, has also maintained a level of distance from the public eye in recent years. After starring in Little Women in 2019, she took a break from acting and stepped away from social media, with her Instagram going inactive for more than a year. Although she’s since returned, Watson has spoken about her desire to work in a way that feels authentic and unforced, stating, “I don’t want to switch into robot mode anymore.”

As for Radcliffe, he seems to be settling into fatherhood with ease, even if fans have only been offered fleeting glimpses. Whether the couple decides to share more about their child in the future or not, it’s clear they’re savoring this quiet, joy-filled chapter of their lives.
