The Golden Retriever displays extraordinary devotion by taking care of his pregnant mate.

For all the dads out there, do you remember how you cared for your spouse during her pregnancy?

Those memories might bring back moments when you juggled errands, managed the household alone, and handled all the chores. If that sounds familiar, you’re definitely not alone.

While some partners may feel they didn’t provide much support, this viral video featuring a golden retriever caring for its pregnant owner offers plenty of inspiration.

These golden retrievers quickly became an online sensation. At first, they were simply seen snoozing side by side. But as soon as the wife stirred, the dog sprang into action—dashing to the air conditioner to adjust the temperature.

Next, it fetched a small container in its mouth and trotted to the kitchen. Expertly, it placed the basin in the sink and used its paw to turn on the faucet. Then, proudly, it returned to its partner, clearly pleased with its accomplishment.

After she finished drinking, the dog grabbed her leash. Exercise is essential for a pregnant dog to stay healthy. But instead of the owner taking her for a walk, the dog took charge, picking up the leash and accompanying his mate.

This gave the “dog dad” a chance to run other errands. Throughout the day, he even helped in the kitchen, assisting with preparing his partner’s dinner.

Chicken, fish, shrimp, and some vegetables—a real feast. The dog dad also helped clean up afterward, even taking out the trash.

He was a true gentleman at dinner. Despite being hungry from all his efforts, he let his partner eat first. After all, she was eating for their puppies, too.

Later, when he invited her for a post-dinner run, something changed. His wife chose to stay home.

Labor had begun. Sensing this, their furry parents quickly prepared a cozy nest for her. What was once a room for just the two of them became the loving home for their growing family.

One by one, the puppies were born. The owners carefully cleaned each pup before allowing the mother to nurse them.

Meanwhile, they provided easily digestible food to support her through the process.

The adorable retriever finally became a father to seven healthy puppies, each sporting a unique, colorful collar—almost like a rainbow.

Now, the dog dad returns to household chores, but this time, he’s not just caring for a dog—he’s looking after his partner and their children.

With the dependability this “good boy” has shown, it’s clear the family is in safe paws.
