A stray elderly dog, wandering the streets for 10 years with a massive tumor, tormented by pain, upset, and losing faith in life, but receiving no help.

A Dog With a Huge Tumor Was Found Abandoned on the Roadside — But His Story Doesn’t End There
A helpless dog was found lying by the roadside, completely immobilized. A huge tumor was protruding from his abdomen, leaving him in visible agony. Abandoning him in that condition simply wasn’t an option.

Thankfully, volunteers from the non-profit organization Helen Summerfield-Brown arrived just in time. Known for rescuing homeless and neglected animals, the group immediately rushed the suffering dog to the veterinary hospital for urgent care.
His health was hanging by a thread. The poor dog had lost his appetite, a dangerous sign indicating that the tumor was taking over his body and endangering his life.

The dog, later named Midnight, made it to the clinic where he underwent a series of diagnostic procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork. The results painted a grim picture — he was anemic, severely undernourished, and infested with hookworms.
The most urgent issue, however, was that his platelet count was dangerously low. This meant surgery couldn’t be performed yet, as his body wouldn’t be able to handle it — a single wrong move could be fatal.

Time wasn’t on their side. The tumor was rapidly expanding, and the medical team had to act fast. They continued running lab tests to determine when they could safely operate.
Despite his condition, Midnight captured everyone’s hearts. He had a calm, gentle soul that inspired the rescue team to do everything they could for him.

Finally, the day of the surgery came — and it was a success. The tumor, which turned out to be testicular, was removed. It weighed nearly 4.85 pounds, a heavy load for his already fragile body.

The veterinarian shared, “This mass was such a burden on his small frame. We’re overjoyed it’s gone. Midnight took a few brave steps after surgery, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
Midnight continues to receive post-operative care, and his recovery is going well. In just a few days, he’ll be ready for the next chapter — finding a loving forever home.

Thanks to everyone who supported Midnight’s journey so far. Your kindness has given this sweet boy a second chance at life!
