Tigger’s Final Journey: A Tale of Unimaginable Courage

Tigger’s story is one that no living being should ever endure. In Sardinia, he was found drenched in gasoline and set ablaze—a deliberate act of cruelty that left him with severe burns covering much of his body. Despite the unimaginable pain, he fought valiantly for two weeks, clinging to life with unwavering determination.

Local residents and volunteers from the Fierogattò animal rescue group discovered him in Dolianova, southern Sardinia. They immediately provided him with medical care, offering him every chance to heal. However, the extent of his injuries proved too severe, and despite their best efforts, Tigger succumbed to his wounds.

His passing has left a profound impact on the community, sparking outrage and sorrow. Tragically, Tigger was not the only victim; just five days earlier, a dog was found hanged in the same town, and in a nearby rural area, the bodies of three more dogs were discovered, each showing signs of abuse.

In response to this escalating pattern of violence, the animal rights group LAV has intervened. They are launching legal action to bring the perpetrators to justice and are urging local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, not only to seek justice for these innocent animals but also to ensure the safety of the entire community.
